Solid Silicone Calf Implant

Calf implants may be desired for various reasons. Often, patients suffering from Polio, Spina Bifida, or clubfoot defects turn to calf implants to provide anatomical balance. Bodybuilders and men may seek calf implants to emphasize bulk of the calf muscle, while women generally desire calf implants to sculpt the lower leg in proportion to the thigh. Solid silicone calf implants are inserted through small incisions in the fascia into dissected pockets overlying the gastrocnemius muscles. Depending on the desired outcome one or two implants may be used in the procedure.
